HepCBC Info Booth — 55+ Lifestyle Show Vancouver 2016: September 22, 2016
This year the 55+ Lifestyle Show was held at the PNE (Pacific National Exhibition). We had a large corner to show why Baby Boomers should get tested for HCV. It was great to talk to the people who stopped by to ask, “Why does it say Born between 1945 and 1975?” (actually our posters say 1945-1965, though researchers say this should actually be 1945 – 1975 in Canada.) Our new pamphlets correct this.

Photos of people with hepatitis C were part of our slideshow that looped all day. This photo shows our former Board Member Allen McCulloch, a volunteer fireman (recently passed on and greatly missed).
Slideshow shows our HepCBC Liver Warriors team which runs/walks at the Victoria Goodlife Marathon every October (this year, October 9 in Victoria, BC).

CATIE provides bilingual pamphlets in many languages (English on one side, translation on the other) including here Arabic, Urdu, Tagalog, Hindi, Punjabi, Spanish, and Chinese. Blue pamphlet in middle has English plus 7 African languages: Amharic, Arabic, French, Oromo, Somali, Swahili, and Tigrigna).

Our pamphlet holders are in doctors’ offices all over Victoria and the Lower Mainland. They hold 4 pamphlets. The green one on the bottom is a PHAC pamphlet. Next up is ours. The final 2 up are :HepC Can be Cured” and “6 Things to Know about HepC” from CATIE. — at PNE – Pacific National Exhibition.
