March 12 – 21, 2018 – HepCBC Hepatitis C Education & Prevention Society
HepCBC Hepatitis C Education and Prevention Society sends small teams of nurses and peer navigators (mostly retired volunteers) into rural and remote parts of British Columbia to distribute resources and share information about local needs and the latest treatment for viral hepatitis: hep B (HBV) and hep C (HCV).
We are happy to announce that a 10-day roadtrip to northern Vancouver Island is just around the corner! We will be bringing hot-off-the-press posters, pamphlets, and audio-visual resources to community organizations and Friendship Centres, band health centres, and health clinics. Thanks to First Nations Health Authority (FNHA) Vancouver Island Region Health Liaison, Cody Caruso, for helping us get in touch with the right people.
See links to some of the resources we’ll be bringing, below the itinerary. We’ll be available to speak and give presentations to nursing staff, band officials and CHRs, patients, and the public. If for some reason we cannot make it to your location, you can give us an alternate place to drop off your materials.
CONTACT before and during trip: Cheryl, creitz@hepcbc.bchep.org, 604-259-0500 (message)
