FEDERAL PRISONS in BC will be VISITED by HepCBC TEAM June 10-14, 2019

Twice a year HepCBC’s all-volunteer outreach team visits the Community Resource Expo (CRE) events held in BC’s federal prisons to give the most recent information about viral hepatitis (B and C) care and prevention, and to offer support to those seeking treatment. Our all-volunteer team consists of Leon Anderson, Ron Larsen, Dr. Sofia Bartlett, Cheryl Reitz, Douglas Laird, and Dr. Urvashi Beruar. Below is our schedule for the upcoming CRE events:

June 10 – Pacific Institution / Regional Treatment Centre (hospital status, all security levels) in Abbotsford

June 11 – Kwikwexwelhp Healing Village (Minimum Security) near Harrison Lake

June 11 – Mountain (Medium Security) Institution near Agassiz

June 12 – Kent (Maximum Security) Institution

June 13 – Mission/Ferndale (Minimum Security) Institution in Mission

June 13 – Mission (Medium Security) Prison in Mission

June 14 – Fraser Valley Institution for Women (all security levels) in Abbotsford

June 14 – William Head (Minimum Security) Institution near Metchosin
