Have HEP C or recently treated with DAAs? Be part of RESEARCH!

WHAT is Per-SVR? Here is a great opportunity! The Per-SVR (pronounced “Persevere!”) Study is recruiting participants in a multi-year study to learn more about the experiences of people who have been treated with the new “DAA” hep C treatments.  The information gathered will lead to better policies and services for those living with or at risk of contracting hep C.

WHAT would I have to do? Participants will be asked to attend approximately 11 visits (4 in the first year, and 2 per year after that). Each visit will consist of an interview as well as blood and urine testing. Following each visit, a generous HONOURARIUM will be offered. Visits will be at 611 Powell Street in Vancouver.

Requirements:

  • 19 years or older
  • Have undetectable HCV viral load following completion of DAA therapy (You can start applying for the study while you are still undergoing treatment. You are not eligible if your treatment ended more than 6 months ago.)
  • Reside in greater Vancouver (includes metro Vancouver plus places like Surrey, Richmond, etc.)
  • Fluent in English

How do I apply? Phone 604-416-1567 or Email persvr@cfenet.ubc.ca (Program is run out of the BC Centre for Excellence in HIV/AIDS office but it is about hepatitis C, not HIV).
