Hepatitis C patients who combine medications containing sofosbuvir (SOVALDI or HARVONI or any combination such as SOVALDI+ GALEXOS [simeprevir – or OLYSIO in USA] or SOVALDI + DAKLINZA [also known as daclatasvir]) are urgently warned not to combine these medications with heart arrhythmia medication amiodarone. Contact your doctor IMMEDIATELY to determine if you need to stop any or all of these medications.

Nine patients who combined sofosbuvir and amiodarone suffered serious reactions. One had a fatal heart attack and three of the others had to receive pacemakers. Six of the cases happened within the first 24 hours of taking the drugs together, and the others happened within 2 to 12 days of starting. Three were taking HARVONI, five were taking SOVALDI + DAKLINZA [daclatasvir], and one was taking SOVALDI + GALEXOS [OLYSIO in USA]. All were also taking amiodarone. READ MORE at:
